Who We Are
EWD Foundation (Education, Work & Digital Foundation)
About EWD
EWD Foundation (Education, Work & Digital Foundation) is a non-profit organisation committed to equipping Africa’s youth with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in today’s digital world.
We exist to close the gap between learning and opportunity, helping young people move from training to tangible work experience, entrepreneurship, and meaningful livelihoods.
Founded by a team of technology and education leaders, EWD Foundation has empowered over 40,000 learners through free and accessible digital training, mentorship, and employability programmes across Nigeria and beyond.
Our Vision
To build a digitally empowered generation across Africa, equipped to innovate, create, and lead in a rapidly changing world.
Our Mission
To democratise access to digital education and connect learners to work opportunities through training, mentorship, and industry partnerships that foster sustainable livelihoods and inclusive growth.
Our Core Values
We believe in equal access, honest work, and real impact built through collaboration, innovation, and integrity.
Our Story
EWD Foundation was born out of a desire to tackle youth unemployment and digital exclusion across Africa. What started as a small community project offering basic computer literacy has evolved into a multi-country ecosystem of training, mentorship, and employability support.
Through collaborations with governments, NGOs, and private-sector partners, EWD has built a reputation for transformative, practical, and inclusive digital learning that meets today’s market needs while shaping tomorrow’s workforce.
Our Leadership
EWD Foundation is led by a diverse board of educators, innovators, and social entrepreneurs united by one mission: to create access and opportunity for Africa’s next generation.
